It is necessary to fully complete the application process in order for your child to be enrolled in St. Edward the Confessor Catholic School. Please pay special attention to all of the details included in the admissions process, and if you have any questions feel free to call or email us.

2026-2027 Age & Requirements for Admission


PK33 years of age by March 1, 2026 AND toilet trained
PK44 years of age by September 1, 2026 AND toilet trained
K5 years of age by September 1, 2026
1st6 years of age by September 1, 2026
2nd – 8thSuccessful completion of the previous grade level
2nd – 8th grades require promotion to grade level per school records.

Each applicant must complete the online application. In order for the application to be completed, the following must also be provided. 

  • A $100 non-refundable application fee
  • Birth Certificate
  • Baptismal Certificate (if applicable)
  • Immunization Records: Please note that Schools within the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, including St. Edward the Confessor Catholic School, do not accept conscientious objections to the state-required immunizations.
  • Report Cards and Testing Scores (1st-8th)

Once the above information has been received and is processed by the school, each prospective student will be required to take a school-administered assessment. If admission is granted, parents will receive instructions on how to complete the enrollment packet and submit a $300 non-refundable registration fee.  Once the enrollment packet is reviewed, parents will receive a letter from the school stating the child’s provisional or probational acceptance to SECS.
 
Acceptance of students is determined by priority. The order of priority is:   

  1. Currently enrolled students
  2. Siblings of currently enrolled students
  3. Children of families registered in St. Edward the Confessor Catholic parish
  4. Children of families registered in any Catholic parish
  5. Children of non-Catholic families who actively support the school’s mission and philosophy statement.
